NZ Grinders was founded in Tauranga, New Zealand, based on the core values of teamwork, integrity and commitment. Today, the company’s reach is New Zealand wide, and our people uphold our founder’s vision to provide valuable services to clients: using efficient, industry leading machines in a dust-free environment, with low noise for great results at low cost.
2012. NZ GRINDERS IS GROWING
With the purchase of an HTC1500 ride on concrete grinder, and the ability to quickly and effectively grind large areas in a short time, this machine resulted in huge time-savings for the client. NZ Grinders moves the business to the next level with larger commercial clients
2015. NZ GRINDERS NATIONWIDE
NZ Grinders sets up a South Island office. We now help customers nationwide. Our insistence on quality of service, hard work, and responsiveness to client needs remains the company credo and has led to its success in a competitive industry.
2016. OFFSHORE WORK
NZ Grinders completes work for a large commercial water bottling plant in Fiji, the beginnings of our work offshore.
2017. ON THE MOVE
NZ Grinders moves to larger premises in the Lakes, Tauriko, Tauranga. With the purchase of new machines with the latest technology in the floor grinding industry and with remote control handling, we created a safer working environment and a cleaner, dust free workplace for staff.
2019. NZ GRINDERS ACHIEVES SITEWISE “GREEN”
NZ Grinders commitment to sustainable futures results in a 87% rating “Green” award from Sitewise, the industry prequalification system – Sitewise grades a contractor’s health and safety capabilities and publishes the results in a database, to allow for better contractor selection and an easier tendering process.
2021. NZ GRINDERS HAS NEW OWNERS
With NZ Grinders owners ready to move on to new projects in the building industry, the new owners took over with the vision of commitment to customer service, new investment in equipment, expanding the business to reach new markets and safer more efficient, eco friendly and sustainable processes.
2022. SITEWISE GOLD
NZ Grinders demonstrates a high quality health and safety system in place based on the evidence provided for assessments – Sitewise grades a contractor’s health and safety capabilities and publishes the results in a database, to allow for better contractor selection and an easier tendering process.
2023. NEW SHOWROOM
NZ Grinders is evolving in the South Island with a new managing director in the Queenstown branch. In the North Island, we needed more space, so a showroom is open at the new Head office in central Mt Maunganui. With the purchase of a state of the art Blastrac concrete chanel cutter, we expand into seismic strengthening work.
